COPYRIGHT ACT 1968 - SECT 36 

Division 2--Infringement of copyright in works Infringement by doing
acts comprised in the copyright

SECT. (1) Subject to this Act, the copyright in a literary, dramatic,
musical or artistic work is infringed by a person who, not being
the owner of the copyright, and without the licence of the owner of
the copyright, does in Australia, or authorizes the doing in
Australia of, any act comprised in the copyright.

(2) The next three succeeding sections do not affect the generality
of the last preceding subsection.



RULE s36 PROVIDES Copyright is infringed by doing acts comprised in the copyright 
ONLY IF
 the person is not the owner of the copyright AND
 the person is doing the act without license of the owner AND
 the act is any act comprised in the copyright AND
BEGIN 
 the person is doing the act in Australia OR
 the person authorizes the doing of the act in Australia
END
